FAQ

What's the difference between regular car washes and a detailed wash?

  • Regular car wash places often use inferior car shampoos that aren't PH balanced and can strip away existing waxes and protectants on your car, leaving no protection against the elements.

  • Machine car washes with brushes will scratch your paint and leave swirl marks. The end result is your paint looking old and faded after enough washings.

  • Machine touchless washes often use harsher soaps that leave a film on your car and never get the surface really clean.

  • Both Machine touch and touchless washes use the same water over and over again through a recycling system so your car is being washed from previously used water that touched other dirty cars.

  • Many high volume hand car wash places uses inferior car shampoos that are more harsh on your paint.

  • High volume hand car washes work off volume so your car never gets the personal attention to detail that it deserves. There will often be missed spots that weren't cleaned or watermarks/streaks.

  • High volume hand car washes use the same towels/rags over and over again to dry every car. This can introduce scratches/swirls picked up from existing dirt from previously used towels.

Mobile Auto Werx uses nothing but high quality and industry proven wash products and tools like PH balanced car shampoos, surface and environment friendly cleaners, fresh microfiber towels that haven't been reused on another car(without being washed), delicate and appropriate wheel, carpet, interior, exterior brushes and wash mitts.

If you value your car and want to keep it looking great for the long haul, make sure you are comparing apples to apples and maintain it the way it deserves. Feel free to contact or consult with us for additional questions.

What is the difference between Wax, Sealants, and Ceramic Coating?

These are all products designed to protect and prolong the quality of your paint. The biggest difference when it boils down to the average consumer is the durability. Traditional waxes have a natural ingredient to them and will generally last a few weeks at the most.

Paint sealants on the other hand are fully synthetic and can offer 3-12 months of paint protection on the average.

Ceramic Coating is like another layer of clear coat for your car. But unlike paint, ceramic coating is harder than paint and thus offers the maximum protection. It can last anywhere from 2-6 years on the average depending on conditions.

Why is it better to get headlight restoration done professionally?

Simply put, professionals use professional products that increase the final output and results. We use high powered polishing tools, pads, compounds to produce better clarity on the lenses. We know how to gauge polishing as to not burn or create marks in the lenses. We ceramic coat the lenses afterwards to provide extended protection against the elements so that you don't find your lenses back to the way it was in a couple months.

Why are ceramic coating services on the costly side?

Most of the cost is the amount of labor in prepping the vehicle to receive the ceramic coating. For ceramic coating to work the best, existing paint surfaces have to be clean of any dirt, oils, grease, contamination, and any heavy scratches and swirl marks. All this adds up to a lot of labor in the prep work. This ensures that the ceramic coating will last a long time and be effective in protecting your car's finish but also to keep it looking cleaner for longer in between car washes.

If you plan to have a complete detail done on your car which includes a polishing phase, it is highly recommended to have the ceramic coating done at this time to keep your car protected and looking new.
